Gwynith Character Design Sketch

A couple hours study on the portraying of the mail female character from the historical novel "La Legione Degli Immortali" also known as "L'Aquilifero". Gwynith is a celtic british girl that ends up first as a slave and then as the companion of the Aquilifer of Caesar's Legion during the Gaul Conquest. She is a late teenager, that once was the daughter of a British clan chief. In her journey she will manage to trust the roman soldiers of her companion's group, learn the language and follow them in the constant danger of war.
I've red that book like 5 times since 2006 and hopefully one day I'll be able to illustrate more of it.
